Now here's a question that I think might bring a change in our lives.
“Are we giving each other enough 'Lollipop Moments'.
Unsure of what a 'Lollipop Moment' is? No, It's not just handing out candies to people but it is something just as sweet! Regardless of the age, these days everyone seems to be stressed about something or other. Let's take a look at our own lives. More than anything else, is the stress of standing first in every competition, then there is pressure of peers and academics as well as keeping fit. The list goes on and on but then again amidst all this fuss we do find our little moments which make it all worthwhile. These little moments work as flickers of hope in the darkness and these little moments of happiness are called 'Lollipop Moments.'
Sometimes by just expressing our thanks we create 'Lollipop Moments' for our teachers and one encouraging word from our teacher surely creates for us all. Lollipop Moments, when expressed at the right time can completely change the life of a person. India's most sought after cricketer, the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar wanted to be the fastest bowler but could not achieve it. At low phase of his life his coach Ramakant Achrekar told him to not to feel bad about what he couldn't do but to work on what he could. Achrekar's statement made Sachin excel in cricket and become a living legend! This might be a small statement yet the impact it had was big. The Lollipop Moments increase self-confidence.
In our lives we all must have experienced at least one such moment. But have we ever thanked the person who created this special moment in our lives? Shouldn't we have utmost gratitude for the ones who have made us feel important and happy? We live in a world where we celebrate birthdays which is theoretically the celebration of 'surviving' another year but we conveniently forget to give importance to those who play a key role in the conversion of this 'survival' into the beautiful experience we call life.
In any case I suspect that the world would be a better place if we have gratitude for our little flickers of hope. So, my challenge today is that are we ready to take our time out to thank the angels who created the Lollipop Moments for us and also create that lollipop moment for them too? If we pay our gratitude to them for such a 'sweet' contribution in our lives, then I am sure that it will certainly be lollipop moment for them and for me because after all "The only thing that we take with us when we are gone is what we leave behind, for others."
