Pollution and Solution

The biggest threat of the twenty first century which could be the cause of the end of our mother Earth, is air pollution. This catastrophe is disintegrating the exquisite nature of the Earth. Pollution levels are rising from all over the world, and it is becoming deadlier and harder to handle as we speak. What exactly can we do to reduce pollution?  But before that let's discuss what factors are actually causing the pollution.

Air pollution can be caused by many factors as from factories, power plants, cars, airplanes, chemicals, fumes from spray cans, and methane gas from landfills. Burning of fossil fuels is another way leading to air pollution. Fossil fuels include coal, oil and natural gas. And the most common example is our daily activity travelling .There is 7.7 billion people on planet Earth and out of that there are 1.8 billion vehicles on the road. The vehicles that are on road release fumes which increase pollution and they contribute to one third of the pollution levels rising. When factories are producing items, they use fossil fuels to power the factories and this releases extremely harmful fumes.

The worst thing for our environment is plastic. It is non biodegradable and it takes over 500 years for it to fully decompose. Moreover, burning plastic releases toxic fumes extremely dangerous for the environment as well as our body. Plastic contains dioxin and if it is inhaled it can instantly cause coughing, shortness of breath and dizziness. Long term exposure can even cause cancer.

But planned control measures are really required now for air pollution. People should try avoiding using their vehicles to travel short distances and even when they want to go somewhere they should try car-pooling or using public transport. I think that countries should also make their public transport facilities better so people are actually willing to use them. For plastic, I think the government should ban plastic as well as regulate the ban through strict laws. Whoever is caught using, buying or selling it should have a heavy fine be imposed on them. The government should make strict policies to control all of this.  It's time, we should respond to reduce pollution and save the Earth!!!
