Your Dreams Can Come True
Who do you want to be when you grow up; what kind of person? What do you want to do with your life? Maybe you know for sure; maybe you don't. (Probably not if you're like me) But I am sure that that hasn't stopped you from dreaming.
When you were little, you probably envisioned yourself as the King or Queen, ruling over the whole world. (Maybe you still kind of envision that dream for yourself if you're like me) Maybe now your goal consists of something slightly more realistic like being a human rights spokesperson, art collector or a heart surgeon. What I'm saying is that our dreams aren't always practical. Trust me when I say that they're not meant to be. Dreams are meant to push you forward to attempt to attain the unattainable. Will you go the extra mile today, even if it doesn't amount to much in the long run?

That's what dreams are; you are working to achieve your wildest 'wants' in life. Do not let excuses creep in. You will never 'find time', you have to make time. If your dreams are big, people will mock you for them. Forget those people; they will not help you succeed. Our thoughts are often at odds with our realities, demanding the kind of freedom and resources we may not have. But this certainly doesn't make them impossible to achieve. Venus Williams once said "I don't focus on what I'm up against. I focus on my goals, and I try to ignore the rest."
What I'm trying to say is that obstacles are inevitable. Self-doubt, lack of resources or support, and sometimes just not feeling good enough are hurdles that everyone faces. That confident friend of yours who always seems to get everything right is probably just as worried about being able to achieve their dreams as you are. It's just about which one of you lets the obstacles stop you, and which one pushes forward regardless. It's about how much effort you put into your work and how much you're willing to get what you want. So dream all you want, and work hard to see that dream come true.
